Hi,can some one help me...I'm traying to patch the game and whene I lunch it it dosen't work(it crushes 3sec after it starts)...needless to say whene I try out RTR...plz help.

Can you post what you are trying to patch the game with. More importantly what you are tryng to patch.

For instance RTW 1.6 with RTR PE 1.9.

No I'm patching RTW1.0 with RTW1.2(I've also tried with1.3)...and it dosent work,it crushes after i tryto lunch it(it crushes instantly)...plz help I just don't know wathto do.

If you add "-show_err" to the target in the shortuct it may return an error message (if the error can be trapped - the usual thing is missing file).

If you've attempted to patch RTW 1.3 then this will, probably mess up the previous install (at a guess). It may be necessary to remove all traces of RTW from your PC and start again - this usually involved removing entries from the Windows Registry as well. There used to be a sticky in the other forums which explained how to do this, however, it does not appear to be available here.

Did RTW 1.0 work OK before you patched it?

Yes RTW 1.0 works but whene I install the patch it crashes starting with V1.2-V1.3(NOTE:I've uninstalled all the traces of the game from the compter:1.So fst I went to add\remove programs and removed it
2.Then I deleted the remaining directory where I've installed it)...but still dosent work...even now uninstalled it\reinstalled it like 10 times allredy;still needing some information,I think

Add the "-show_err" part in the shortcut. This will give you an error message when the game crashes explaining what the problem is. It will then be easier to fix.

were exactly?...in the shortcut from the desktop...is shortcut a program in the rome directory(sry but I'm not that good at informatics...could u specify PLZ )

Very simple!

Right-click on the shortcut on your desktop and choose "properties". In the spot where it shows (or points to) the target file (the .exe file), add " -show_err " at the end.

I don't have RTW installed on the PC I'm using right now so I cannot double-check, but this should be about it.

I think that's the message that is shown with a corrupted download. it isn't the message that is shown when RTR 6 Gold is installed over a later version of RTW (than 1.2) as that is some special characters.

So, where did you get your download of RTR?

No this ain't RTR it apperes whene I'ved pached V1.2 to RTW simple and you can realise that if I'm to install RTR it will be the same...can't I do something?...maibe change something in thatfile...or I don't know,anyting that can make it work.

Wrong RTW.exe with wrong patch. You're trying to patch from RTW 1.0 to RTW 1.2 without having a valid .exe

That means you do not have a legit CD to run the game after patching up.

You could buy a legal copy of RTW. ;p

The TWC Forum rules mean that there can be no discussion about cracks etc. As others have posted, if you don't own a legal copy of the game buy one!
