Default Strange freezings in games :(

    Hello everyone,

    first, my rig:

    Windows XP Home
AMD Athlon 64*2 Dual Core 5000+
    2 Gig DDR2 RAM
XFX GeForce 7950 GT with latest Forewar driver

Now, in games likes Crysis Demo, Fear Demo and the full game Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter (not in other games), they run smooth, but suddenly the window freezes.

I am worried. Why is it??

Do you mean a lock-up leading to a forced reboot?

Neither is this the dawn from the east, nor is a dragon flying above, nor are the gables of this hall aflame. Nay, mortal enemies approach in ready armour. Ravens are calling, wolves are howling, spear clashes and shield answers

Yeah the screen freezes, sometimes the image stays the same, and sometimes it changes to some sort of 'pattern' of colors , and then I need to do a forced reboot yes.

no clue, this could be anything, could you be a bit more detailed? does ctrl+alt+del work or do you have to restart the pc?

it could be a graphics fault, try updateing your drives, it could be a harddrive failer.

Open the case and check the graphic cards fan isn't plastered with dust, same with the cpu fan and any other fans in the system. Then test again.

If you have overclocked the card at all and still encountering problems revert to default settings and test.
