    Default Landbridges

How would I go about removing them? Which file would I have to edit?

    Thanks

from the installation instructions for platinum v1.9:

Optional Step: Download and install the optional add-ons for RTRPE v1.9. They are exactly what their name implies and you do not need to install them if you don`t want to. These optional add-ons consist of...

    * No Landblocks Optional Add-on: This is an optional add-on for those who do not wish to use the Libyan Desert Landblock and the Asia Minor Landblock. These are copies of the RTR Platinum files before the addition of the AI enhancing landblocks.
I really think you shouldn't, though; landblocks and landbridges are the best thing since the beatles quit!

    Thanks for the reply..

I like the landblocks, it's just the landbridges I can't stand, doesn't seem realistic moving troops across a body of water without a navy...

I removed them in M2TW, but it seems to be different in RTW

There was an optional that removed the landbridges, but with the latest changes in RTRPE v1.9 it`s no longer up to date. Try this one:
    http://rapidshare.com/files/71249511...idges.rar.html
I think the one in Scandinavia is still standing though. From what I can remember nothing else was changed in the file, but it`s worth to make a backup of your own file before overwriting it with this one so you can revert the changes if needed.
    It goes in:
    Rome - Total War\data\world\maps\base
And you need to delete the map.rwm files for it to take effect.
