    I have quite a bit to do with art, funny enough. For me it's basically a combination of both good artisanship (technically) and a gift for symbolism that defines a good artist. Not surprisingly, those artists do pretty well in most cases.

    There is a lot of crud, I admit. But fortunately there's still quite a few who can make stunning art, and sometimes different from any style in the past.

    Like singer-songwriters are unique, vs playing in a rock and roll band. Those artists don't specifically create something that 'goes for modern art'. They just do their thing.
