    Default 66-67b.c. ctd?

Will EB have this CTD at 66-67b.c.? Coz I read the post at RS forum that due to no Senate faction, and there is the hardcoded civil war trigger at 66-67b.c., will occur a ctd.

Not sure about whether it will occur, but you'll do good to get to 66 BC, seeing as that's about 820 turns after the game's start.

Yeah that does take forever to get there and I thought that ctd was fixed a long time ago?!

Didn't CA themselves fix that with the v1.5 patch?

Either way, I think it only happens if there is a senate faction (or lack of one) and the faction slot has been completely renamed to avoid any sort of hardcoded senate events.

I thought that would fix it too, but apparently it hasn't. RTR is having issues with this, and apparently have run tests with an internally renamed 'senate' and the CTD still occurs. We are currently testing something that I think will fix this, but it takes, as you say...forever to get to the point where it occurs.

The reason I'm worried is because RS2 will start is 217BC....much closer to the problematic date. I will let people know if the 'fix' works.

66b.c. indeed is a long way to go, I tried to play it slow in EB as the game intended to be. Well I really don't know if I can reach that date, but what if you destroy the roman faction earlier than the concerned date, will the CTD still occur? Like there will be no civil war anymore if there will be no romans.

Apparently that CTD occurs when you are playing a roman campaign. At least that`s what it seems. The people reporting it for RTRPE were all(afaik) playing with the romans. And then we had a couple people claiming to have passed the date/period with no issue and it turned out they were using different factions. An ai run test campaign didn`t produce the ctd either. So, it`s probably related to the roman factions only(I presume it goes for all the roman factions based on their internal names; we only have the romans_julii playable in vanilla RTRPE).

In EB if I`m not mistaken the roman slots are used by the seleucids, bactrians, armenians and the arabian faction replacing the senate, right?
