Denmark

Hey there! As a complete non-modder, I have a few questions

1: How would I go about it, if I wanted to return Denmark to their proper red color? I just couldn't play with them, while they're that yellow color.. reminds me of Sweden!

2: If I wanted to give Denmark access to the Varangian Archers, would this be possible, and how do I do this?

Later on. Check Europa Universalis - Norway have yellow color there too.
Many countries changed colors, banner, coat of arms etc in history.
Keep in mind, that in these times Sweden wasnt exist. So it's not that Norway you know now.

But it's about Denmark, not Norway or Sweden. Dannebrog (The danish flag) have always been red and White. Before it appeared in the beginning of 1200, the flag was, while not as red as Dannebrog, was still red/dark orange, with a dark blue/blackish raven on it. To my knowledge anyhow.

In any way, historically correct or not, I want my red Denmark back!
I just want to know, how I change that back properly, and how I go about adding Varangian Archers to their roster.

Crap, in second answer i misled Norway with Denmark Denmark is yellow anyways. In many mods, that used "historically plausible" research, as DLV for example

I overwrote my unit_models directory, with the one from vanilla, while that won't solve the entire problem, you'll have red for most of your troops, the Feudal Knights and General's bodyguard must have different folders because they are still the blue yellow scheme. Also, you need to change their shields back as well, and I forgot what folder did that.

Further, check your export_descr_building.txt to make changes to the recruitment pools, it isn't terribly difficult to find out how to work this file.

I have managed to get the Varangian Archers in my game, and they work fine!
However, they do lack any sort of skin, just appear silver, and with the portrait of a peasant...

I cant see why the danish had to be reskinned, the old reskins where a lot better and more suitable for them. The new colors are too bright.

Norway would have been a better choice to reskin, or Ireland. Or maybe late game units.
