Is my grand campaign time limited?

Can I play on as long as I like the way I could in Rome Total War or is the game limited so I can only play so many turns in the grand campaign before it's game over?

I just bought the new Medieval 2 game after having played rome for about 3 years non stop. Although I love it, my heart stopped when I looked down the bottom right of the screen to where it had a count of my turns. Then in the faction scroll it says 'Turns left ***'.

When you finish all your campaign goals, it'll ask you if you want to continue or not. BTW, welcome to TWC.

And what happens if you don't finish your campaign goal before you run out of turns? Do you lose? And can you still continue (beyond the turn limit) after you complete your goals?

You can't win anymore, but you can carry on playing.

Thanks, I never finish a campaign though. I become tired of it very easily and then I start a new one.

You just keep playing, but you can't win.
