think about it.
Poland= space marines
HRE= imperials
Teutons= Chaos
Lithuania&Mongols= orks
Novgorod= Eldar
and the music also..
Am i the only one that thinks this?![]()
Rather, Warhammer40k has an obvious similarity to the Teutonics along with a similarity to Nazi or German styled soldiery and ethos, which in turn is heavily based on Teutonic lore.
Sorry, that doesn't make any sense. How are Novograd like Eldar or Teutonic Knights like Chaos or Poland like the Space Marines? What about the Danes? Are they like the Tyranids then?
I hate the tabletop board game but I like the story. The Imperium has Teutonic/Templar/crusader themes, brutal totalitarian bureaucratic themes, as well as Imperial Roman themes. Modern fascist governments tried do do this also. Both Italy and Germany tried to invoke nationalism and ancient (heavily Roman inspired) imperial glory to build popular support.
Not the board game, heavens no! i mean the computer game, Dawn of war: Warhammer 40k. very good game.
and how Teuton is chaos: in the intro video, they are described as "the demon that {poland} unleashed."
and they have a sinister appearance.
and Lithuania and Mongols, i say are orks, because they are generally disliked universally, and they are somewhat backwards compared to the other factions.
Eldar? Novgorod? Are you MAD?
What, with the linguistic similarities and Christmas-Colored armies they might as well just drop the guise and call them the Space-Welshmen...
I am sure Warhammer takes its insipration from Mediaeval history and not the other way round![]()
