Today's rap sucks, but the rap from the 90's was pretty good. Post your favorite 90's rap songs.
    Some of my favorites

My last 2 warnings were from cussing. If you want good songs, PM me - they include the obvious Gravel Pit and CREAM, but the less known stuff like Shame On a ******, METHOD Man, Protec Ya Neck, and others (mainly from 36 Chambers, its my fave album).

Enter the Wu Tang is one of the craziest hardcore rap albums of all times... soooo raw and glaring. Nobody could evar beat this one. It's how I got into rap back in the 90s. I'm bumping it right now; because of you, thanks!!

Sure I've been called a xenophobe, but the truth is Im not. I honestly feel that America is the best country and all other countries aren't as good. That used to be called patriotism.

As most of you guys seem more Rap than Hip Hop, I suppose I could also say Cypress Hill, Wu, Dre & Snoop, but only as a passing mention..

Great idea for a thread, anways, dunno if these are all from '90s but I think the point is that you mean real rap... so here goes.

    Illegal Life - CNN

    Close Edge - Mos Def

On The Eve of War Remix - Jedi Mind Tricks Gza, better then the orig I think.

Shook Ones 2 - Mobb Deep

    Ebonics - Big L

I met Mos Def, he was at the Indianapolis Airport when our school was leaving for a trip. He is one of my teacher's favorite musicians, and he about had a heart attack .

I've in earlier posts professed not to be a big gangsta rap/hiphop fan so this is going to sound a bit contradictory. I really enjoyed Gangstarr mid 90's, I still listen to their later album Moment of thruth occasionaly.

I really liked EPMD (I think it's a prerequisite to get into any early hip hop.)

There aren't a lot of Kid Frost fans out there. His beats were always good but his lyrics were a little...meh. (Example: they'll call you a 'poo-butt'.)
