    Default Playable factions in Hotseat

    Hello there.

    My roommate and I are interested in playing an ongoing campaign with this mod and had settled upon playing Norway and Ireland. (fairly close and the opportunity to be either involved or not)

    After doing the research, I went out and bought Kingdoms, installed the mod and the patch. Tweaked the thing to allow us to defend against attacks. Then...neither Norway nor Ireland were there. ^^;

    I cannot for the life of me find in the files a strat file relevant to hotseat. ^^;

    Any ideas, suggestions, etc? If it helps...both factions are in the hotseat campaign, just not playable.

    Are you trying to do this with SS, or with the "stock" Grand Campaign? I don't believe Kingdoms adds anything (or much) to the regular Grand Campaign, so if you were trying to do that, neither Ireland nor Norway (nor Lithuania, the Teutonic Knights, the Latin Levantine kingdoms, etc etc.) would be available.

    If you were trying to do this with SS, or with the Kingdoms Britannia campaign, then I'm afraid I'm utterly useless.

    Cheers.

    I am running Stainless Steel. (I needed to buy Kingdoms to play SS)

    (I am well aware that Norway and Ireland do not exist in the stock campaign ^^; )

    I am wondering where the hotseat in SS draws its playable factions list from so that I can add the two.

    Ah, I see.

    Well, since my last post was utterly useless, I decided to undertake a mission of redemption. Unfortunately, it failed (my tactic being to rearrange the listing of available factions in the descr_strat.txt for the Stainless Steel imperial campaign, on the grounds that being the last two listed factions, Ireland and Norway may have gotten cut off). That didn't work, so I'm afraid I have nothing.

    Cheers.

    I had tried that as well....

    I have no idea where the source is for the hotseat. The file is a ghost...gyah.

    I think even King Kong is struggling with this one, I posted it in the bug forums, and he made note that he knows it is a problem that needs to be addressed, so I guess all we can do it wait.

    Eww....

    Alright then. *nods*

    I hope it works out soon...I would really like for us to play Norway/Ireland.

    Anyone with news of atleast a lead in how to change playable factions in hotseat?

    Teutonic Order would be nice aswell as the Norweigans.

    Its damn strange that there aint no descr_strat.txt to be found and changed, could the factions be included in some other file concerning multplaying?
