Last night had a small skirmish with the French to find that a unit of Billmen lost an experience chevron :hmmm:
How can units lose experience ???????
Anyone else seen or can explain this
Thanks in advance

When soldiers with higher experience than the average in the unit die the average lowers.
You need to know that TW tracks experience PER SOLDIER, not per unit. The chevrons are an average of the unit's soldiers.
That is true, basically if you lose a lot of soldiers in one battle and dont kill enough to earn enough experience to "cover" the loses you will lose experience as a result!
Hi Guys,
Thanks for the info.
I need to check as they were in a supporting role but I didn't think they had lost any men. I'm probabley wrong but I'll let you know.
Checked this out last night and yes the unit did take losses during the battle.
However it only lost 6 men out of a full complement of 60. The unit has been retrained once and was down to about 30 men when that occurred.
I find it a bit harsh, but as you say if six hard nuts had been killed I suppose it would make all the difference.
Cheers for your help![]()
