Ok, as most of you know there is BOA and NTW for RTW and both of those are BATTLE only mods, well..... what if we took ideas from Europa Universalis, as in we only work on the campagin map, and we can do ANY battle.

Think about it, we could have a world war 2 era mod but we just couldn't fight it on the map, you could recruit lets say riflemen, and sub machine gun men and thier stat would count towards your victory, hell we could even do battlefield 2142 if we wanted too, it would be excellent and a great change of pace, we could create so many unique and interesting scanerios, like playing as the axis powers in 1945, challenging huh? oh the allies in 1940, you get my point.

So, why hasn't this been done yet, surely I am not the only one to come upon this realization am I???

Well, I think that it will be hard to do a world war 2 mod. don't you think it is too hard.

Why would anyone want to play total war if you could only auto-resolve and not fight it on the battlemap?

Exactly. The strategy layer for Total War games is simply not good enough for a strategy-only game.

Not a bad idea, a WWII mod would defiantly be interesting, if you based it on kingdoms you could have campaigns for Europe, the eastern front, N Africa and far east, battles would be auto resolved but you still have to work on strategies, you could even have historically accurate generals..

WE could make the AI better by throwing in Darth Mod, and giving you VERY difficult odds by giving you planned out scanerios.
