Unpack stops during unpacking

hi,
I just started unpacking and at the 23000th file opr so, the unpacker went away and didnt finish it, even after reinstalling the game. unpacking kingdoms works fine.
I can only play battles when i start the game with the autorun, which is, how i think, caused by the unpackerror, as the two descr_geography_new files must have been unpacked, but i can't find them.

Can you help me?

Are you using Vista. It did it to me on Vista at the same place. Unpacked okay on XP.

i use vista.
and in the compatibility mode, vista doent find the games' dvd

That's why I went back to XP. Vista, in spite of the hype, is not game friendly. The last I tried to unpack the files in Vista and gave up, I had on the performance monitor and watched totally wipe out all memory usage until it hit that point and quit. For some reason Vista can't do it.
