questions about resources

hi, I have been searching the grain resource in descr.strat.txt, but it is not in use any more (?)

there are in the descr.regions resources like 'variantro' and so on. do they generate the farms on the campaign map?

is there a thread that explains resources in BI?

Grain isn't used a resource because it adds a hardocoded population increase which drastically unbalances growth in settlements.

The 'variant' resources are hidden resources. I believe those ones effect EB's 'wonders'. Most hidden resources effect the AOR.
