Multiplayer help!

I have 2 questions:

1. How do I create a server so other people can see it? I've tried doing it countless times but noone can see it in the browser .

2. If I have v1.2 and my friend has v1.1 can we see the same servers? And if so then is there any normal explanation for why we can't see the same servers?

1. the game goes only over the gamespy server. i think you mean how you can host a game. that noone can see it may be caused that you use 1.2 (like you write in 2) and not 1.3. for multiplayer I'd sey you should play the crusades campaign, there aren't many who play it, but it's great!

2. no, you can't or it shows incompatible cause you have 2 different versions.
