    Default scotland

I have noticed a bit of a problem in 5.1. Given the pikeman "adjustment" scotland seems to be a bit more lacking. It was already hurting as primarily an infantry faction but with their greatest strength somewhat ham-stringed (11 defense down to 8) they lack the late game (late campaign) umph that they had in 5.0.

This is also further compounded by the 2nd armor upgrade being removed from the order knights (the only reliable way for scotland to have some sort of decent calvary in the high era).

I hate having to edit the descr files b/c it feels like cheating. But in this, I might up the scottish pike to their former glory as well as add the scots guard.

How can I convert the scots guard to be a bit more "generic". And is it appropriate for scotland to have access to the scots guard from france?

The scots guard were simply scots serving in french armies, reflecting the historical close relationship these two countries had (the enemy of my enemy is my friend )

Shouldnt scotland get a french unit in return then?

I personly think its a great improvement that the order knights get an armor upgrade less since they never used full plate. the partial plate I am not sure about, but Its more realistic at least.

I do think that the Scots could be somewhat stronger considering infantry. The Galloliach should be in their roster.

well sometimes historical accuracy must be sacrificed a bit for game balance. I would have liked for noble swordsmen to have been an upgraded form of the highlands nobles. i.e. an equivelant of gothic knights of germany.
