Your favorite componists in the present day?

Mine is Hans Zimmer, he is so good at making music with emotion and spirit. I really like "Now we are free" and "The Battle".

Harry-Kregson Williams is pretty good too with the Kingdom of Heaven Soundtracks.

Shouldn't this go in the Arts section?

Anyway, I like Hans Zimmer as well

Hans Zimmer is my man. His soundtracks are simply amazing, and so bloody perfect for the movies they are made for.

I like Joseph LoDuca. "Army of darkness" is great and "evil dead 2" is very *interesting* to listen. I also nominate Basil Poledouris for his forever great "Conan the barbarian" soundtrack.

Yasunori Mitsuda from the Xenosaga series is also pretty good.

Hanz Zimmer is overrated. All of his music sounds exactly the same. I'd say he is one of the least talented, least creative, and least exceptional film composers.

His music may all be similar, but it's still beautiful music. I would say that Stephen Zacharias is one of the best of the day. His music for Der Untergang was so moving.
