    Default Good Stories of Diplomacy

Hey all, I was wondering if you guys had any interesting or cool "balance of power" stories to tell about faction alliances.

Here's my story, I was playing as the Teutonic Order in the Teutonic Campaign.

I used the Poles to help me crush the Lithuanians early on, and they got the better part of their territories...they abandoned our alliance, so I allied with the Mongols and HRE to balance against them. Eventually I was able to vassalize them, but the HRE abandoned me in favor of the Novgorodians.

After lots of intrigue and shifting alliances, the lines finally fell as such:

Holy Roman Empire + Novgorod vs. Teutonic Order + Poland + Mongols

Teutons and Mongols are at war with Novgorod, Poland is at war with HRE.

Denmark has no allies, but are currently at war with the Order, so if they can make peace with the HRE, I would expect them to join that alliance. While these factions are not all at war with eachother, they have formed clear friendships. I just thought this was very cool.

    Haha, good stuff mate,

I have a good story in the Crusades campaign (always a bit of laughs with the starting diplomacy). I find this to be a good strategy, when playing as Antioch. I was playing as Antioch, when for some random reason, I use Phillip II's reinforcement to attack our christian brother's city of Tripoli. Immediately a Jerusalem emmisary came and wanted a ceasefire, to which I gained all of their cities (abotu 10 I believe), save Jerusalem and Ascalon. I then went on to conquering everything else, and it was me against the Byzantines, with a vicious front stretching from lesser Anatolia to Armenia.
