    Default [Gameplay Guide] Romani Building Descriptions

    Howdy.

    Been lurking around here for awhile now. I've had my eye on EB for some time. When 1.0 came out I pounced and am impressed (understatement) at the complexity, professionalism, and creativity...not to mention hard work... that has made learning how to play the darned thing such an enjoyable and educational experience.

    In lieu of not having a cohesive manual for the game (a big negative, though I believe this is being addressed right now) I've been scouring the forums for info... big thanks to Konny with the Romani unit guide, the big unit guide, the faq, etc etc. The list of contributors is quite large. I've printed out almost 70 pages of info covering units, maps, house rules (which add an extremely tasty element IMHO,) the building browser, MIC and Gov Type threads, etc.

    As my understanding of how this beast has developed, I felt the need to have a "handbook" of sorts for Romani buildings. (Romani is the first faction I intend to learn the ins and outs of before moving on to others...hence Romani...)

    So I've compiled it. And I thought I'd share it. I may eventually update it with each buildings' specific stat contributions, requirements, etc. But for now it's just descriptions cut and pasted directly from the building_export file. (Or is that export_buildings file... I can't remember.:hmmm

    Anywho... as is it's 30 pages, Times New Roman 10 pt type, with a bit of editing on my part to eliminate unnecessary spacing. Just the type of thing that I like to take with me to bed, or when I'm having a smoke, or whenever. I hope you enjoy a bit of "light" reading.

    PS- As I cut and pasted this thing together over 2 hours I realized just how much work must have gone into creating and troubleshoot this 1 file... not to mention all the others. So again, my regards to the EB team. Great work and thanks.

    Nice work. Yeah, the descriptions are long.

    I've just started my Romani campaign, perhaps someone could shed some more light on Regional Pacification and the option of building one of 4 buildings after that? Do I have to do that in all my conquered provinces?

    Yes. This is actually basic EB stuff so I think you should have a look at the EB introductory documentation:

    1) EB vs. R:TW: what is different?
    2) EB 1.0 documentation

    In short, the regional-pacification building gives you access to the governement buildings, which in turn allow you to construct recruitment centers (barracs or MICs). The Romani are slightly different from other factions in that they cannot build factional MICs outside their starting provinces (and Segistica) until the Polybian reforms, so type I/II governements don't have as much benefits for them as for other factions early on.
