I lost faith in American during the 2000 elections. Everything was corrupt and was in favor of Bush. He was not legitimately elected and therefore everything America stands for was lost in my mind. America went from supporting foreign corrupt elections to actually having one. I dont know if America will ever recover.

I've never had faith in America, in the first place. At least the current one, as I'm still an admirer of the Old America before WWI and WWII with isolationist principles, a solid Democratic principle, and great leaders as well as ideals. Today, America has been stained by blood due to the inevitable Interventionism and Imperialism that history offered to such a great power in order to survive.

I started to lose faith in the buildup leading to the Iraq War in 2003. I supported the war, but I was disheartened that critics were inevitably labeled as traitors, un-American, and so on. The most reputable newspaper in the country was smeared by pro-war yokels, and any intelligent debate about the war was drowned out with excalamations such as, "Your disagreement with the war actually AIDS and COMFORTS the terrorists! TREASON!!!"

I COMPLETELY lost faith in 2005, when my Dad (who has an MBA) couldn't find employment for nearly ten months. The economy was in a recession, and the Bush administration acted like nothing was wrong. As my Dad became more and more desperate to find employment, and was reduced to selling paint for a while, I realized that there is no American dream. You can work hard all your life, and get laid off so your boss can buy a new herbal jacuzzi.

"We created 40,000 new jobs this month!" We have replaced engineers with burger flippers.

"The economy is growing. More people are working now!" Yeah, at Wal-Mart and Burger King.

I lost faith in Amerikkka when I saw American TV.
The blatant election ads, ENDORSED mud slinging and the interviewing of religious leaders (mostly Evangelical Christians) about their views on presidential candidates.

Shameless mix of religion and politics. And they had the gall to criticize Muslim countries which had more female presidents than they ever had.

He satirizes his own political viewpoints by doing so anyway. The problem of American value is that its core rests upon the tenets of Hypocrisy. Its ok if they do it, but not ok if some other people do it.
