    Default Strange AI behavior with forts

    I place stone forts on the strat map and garrison them with rebel units.

    If the fort is in an actual faction's territory (like Byzantium or the Turks), then the rebel forces stay garrisoned in the fort.

    But if the fort is in a rebel territory, then the units move outside of the fort, usually no more than one or two tiles away from the fort. They move no further than that. And then they stay put.

    How do I keep rebel units in the fort? Is there an AI file I could change to make garrisoned units stay put?

    I'd like to have massive fort seiges, and this really makes it impossible if the AI never even stays in the bloody things.

    You could try to lpay with line in descr_campaign_db.xml (opens with notepad), but I guess it is only for settlements.

    <min_turn_keep_rebel_garrison int="999"/>

    I haven't worked with the AI file - try contacting Xeryx, he is doing a mod just for that.
