Unpacking error

I can't unpack my data folder or any of the kingdoms campaigns with the unpackers. when I select it it gives me an Error message of 'msvcp71.dll' not found. I even reformatted my computer just recently, updated all the windows updates and drivers and the only game I installed was Medieval 2 and kingdoms and I get the same error. I noticed msvcp71.dll is a file in the main M2TW directory, but I don't know if its the same file the error message is refering to.
Has anyone else had this problem?

Here's what you need to do:

1-Go to your main MIITW installation folder. ex: C:/MedievalII-Total War.

2-Copy the following files:

MSC71.dll
mfc71d.dll
msvcp71.dll
msvcp71d.dll
msvcr71.dll

3- Go to your tools/unpacker (there you should see different files. One .txt one .exe and two .bat

4-Paste the copied files in step 2 there.

Now the extractor should work.

5-After the extraction, make sure you delete these files located in your data folder: (if you don't the game will crash)

descr_geography_new.txt
descr_geography_new.db

I think this might be my problem. I should try this because my unpacker stops about halfway through unpacking via cmd.exe. it just closes out.
