Well, how about it? Do you wish you have never spent the money, or are you glad you purchased it?

Personally, I don't regret it at all. Sure, I complain about the bugs and AI as much as the other guy, but at the end of the day, it's been the cause of many hours of fun. Besides, I've probably spent more money on chewing gum this past year than on CA products!

Total War is Total War. I'm a lover of entertainment & strategy games and history - particularly medieval and ancient. TW delivers all 3.

It has its flaws, flaws that could be corrected by CA if it cared a little bit more. But still, there are no other games out there that come close to the exciting world and system of TW so you gotta love the one you got.

Are you kidding? I love this game, I play often still, even though it's been a year since release, but I didn't get it on release, I got it for Christmas.

Regret it? I'll go as far and admit I'm nearly addicted!

Hours of fun, especially the Grand Campaign. Every time you play it's different. Heck, it features a whole plethora of awesome factions that I want to try by the end.

But England first. Because, you know, England rocks!

I bought it on the day of its release and although it hasn't captured my imagination in quite the same way that Rome has, it's a damned fine game and I certainly don't regret buying it.

    Roll on Empire: Total War.

Would I be using these forums if I didn't like the game?

    Simple. No, I don't.
Each day I look at this forum. Every other day I play eiter RTW or M2, and I see myself playing these two for a long time. I'm not interested in ETW, and Kingdoms sucked. RTW and M2 are enough to satisfy my addiction to TW games.

Heh, heh, heh. It has not been a year for me, since I waited and watched all the weeping and gnashing of teeth; and only bought it after the 1.2 patch came out and the community said the game was ready for prime time... and the price dropped $10. So it has only been about 6 months for me.

I sort of expected to like RTW better, after hearing all the discussion going on about the flaws of M2TW; but I can say that RTW, though an excellent game, has been collecting dust for the last 6 months...

As has been said, Total War is Total War. However much people moan and groan, they keep coming back, as do I. Love it, my favourite time period in history. And the mods enhance an already exciting game. Thumbs up.
