    Default Gas Station Ghost??? o.o

I saw this on CNN a few minutes ago. It was their pic of the day:

Interesting. Anderson Cooper thought it was lint, lol.
Idk what it is, could be a gas or something?

Well people who were at the gas station actually saw it with their own eyes. I'll try to find a link.

I don't think that is a ghost, it looks more like some gas-like substance, or it could be lint like that one person claimed, but it certainly doesn't look a ghost.

something other than a ghost more than likely

Could be lint blowing around on the lens, like Cooper suggested. Whatever it is looks massively out of focus, suggesting that it's very close to the lens. Also, note that although several cars show up, so far as we know nobody actually saw the thing. So I'm thinking a little bit of blue fuzz stuck to the lens, that gets blown around by the wind a bit.

Nope, no fluff. At 5-6 seconds it 'flies' downward by pushing something 'winglike'. The movement looked pretty much like a swimmer going down just for a sec.

Fluff doesn't do that. So it's either a hoax done on a PC - most likely - or, if real, not a ghost - they don't need to 'push' themselves against air, I think.

[edit] reminds me a bit of 'Prey' by Michael Crighton. If so, I hope they're nicer. Blue would be a wise colour for nanobots, to pick them out of the background individually, and would mean they're probably escaped and still in lab-stage. If those were anywhere near battle-ready, you'd never see them.

I'm not convinced. Fluff is not exactly a rigid solid. Could have been a few strands of fibers that caught the wind differently.

Well, I still think a diving motion comes closest, doesn't change no matter how many times I watch it. Very much how an octopus would push itself.

Yes, because Caesar's dying wish was to have visited a gas station once in his lifetime.

Haha could be but they don't usually have photoshopped stuff on CNN.

Well, you could fake it easily, even by faintly superimposing the Djinn from Disney's Alladin over the footage, even without resorting to Hollywood FX.

Maybe that's exactly what they did.
