    Default UNOFFICIAL Mini Mod for SS 5.1

    hey,

    Since i've become fan of this mod, i've made my own modifications, well this doesn't represent a official mod and don't pretend take any credits from the original mod owner, but i like to share

    Requires:

    Stainless Steel 5.1

    Modifications:

    - extra crusades targets
    - extra jihad targets
    - stone forts on strat_map
    - permanent forts on strat_map
    - william wallace fixed (seems was missing on ss folder)
    - crusades and jihads have their time reduced but the movement points increased
    - my own adaptation of menu background on initial menu of mtw2
    - main menu new music (escape) from kingdom of heaven
    - free upkeep of 4 units on forts

    Patch 1

    change log:

    3 new custom battlefield maps (caucasos,asturias,ireland)
    More Blood effects (previous one used on 4.1 > 5.0)
    Early campaign starts on 1095 (historical start, when the first crusade its launched)
    Scotland on late era starts allied with france
    Early Era Turns now reduced to 1year/turn
    Movement points balanced for (agents,captains,admirals..)
    Traits and ancillary
    Teutonic Knights and Dismounted Teutonic Knights buildable in the higher tier barracks
    The first three levels of market buildable in castles. I also made the merchants wharf builable in castles as well. Upped the free upkeep and build slots in castles and city walls.
    Norway starts with average fleet + army ready to invade britannia.
    New interface for main menu and new music (more closer of medieval spirit) !


    Patch 2 changelog

    New units by DeathBlow (medieval Hoplite + gothic knight)
    storms on sea increased (beware with your navy)
    **** banana projectile unlocked for mangonel (check the EXTRA folder) *****

    View Settlements on battlemap (Oppida) fully working
    Greek Firethrowers for Knights Templar
    Acre now owned by Knights Templar
    Regions Borders removed (campaign map)

    Ottomans/Seljuks Sultanate new skins by Sabre657

    Bugs:

    - well permanent forts ill only work if they're set on descr_strat (i'm sorry)

    Hmm, ill give this a try when I get home, sounds fun. It doesn't change much but it changes the right things.

    Nice addition. Btw I think there is a partial fix for the stone forts on the battle map. I posted about in the stone fort thread. Will this be included in the Grand Campaign we are planning. That extend map would be cool as well.

    i've noticed, but problem is make permanent forts, on campaign map, build by generals

    yes more larger map would be nice for GC =)

    I am fairly certain Lusted talked about that in another thread, and it is impossible for General's to build the forts in the grand campaign. Don't hold me to that though.

    well unhappy seems generals can build but not permanently, also yes i pretend but this its only possible using descr_strat and put forts on estrategic places over the map

    Hi Ateagina,

    Very nice changes! Thanks for doing this little mod!
    I'm especially looking forward to the new music.
    And I'm really interested how the new jihad/crusade targets work. Any opinions on this issue would be really appreciated!

    I havn't tested, yet so one question: Do you know if it's possible to have permanent stone forts on the campaign map (per descr_strat) and the normal non-permanent wooden forts, too?

    Pretty cool, I like it +rep. Nice job Ataegina!

    I'm a bit concern about the music though to due TWcenter policy on Copywrite
    distribution. (Wish there were music mod again. Oh well.)

    BTW what new target does the crusade or Jihad work?

    well for what i've search, since this version uses kingdoms, i believe its possible make permanent forts, using descr_strat, but ill try test it, but again CA made stuff comes out alot buggy...

    forts works on this way:

    forts set on descr_strat ill appear as stone forts on map and in battle_map as permanent.

    in campaign map you can build forts with generals, but this ones aren't permanent,we can just replace the models (wooden > stone) just to give a more "kingdoms" look

    so KK , yes its possible, but only via descr_strat !! in key points !

    aion2006, well you can see TONS of stuff used in mods, but since this mods and their respective content are for non-commercial use, i believe its ok

    EDIT: well i've tested and used same method wich is used in kingdoms, this can set a fort but this disapear also =/ seems only works in kingdoms campaigns *crap* anyway i'll still trying !

    When I go to Early Era and select difficulty level and then select a faction like Lithuania or any other faction click on start and it takes me back to the game selection screen... the only other mod I put on 5.1 is the mini mod that adds more provinces.. any ideas on how to fix this issue?

    Ok I fixed it by uninstalling your add-on... game wouldnt work through the SS desktop icon... so I uninstalled 5.1 and 5.0 reinstalled them both and then installed your mod... works fine now.

    yes, but you need modify descr_regions and descr_strat !

    I was interested in the tweaked crusades, w.wallace fix and particulary the extra free upkeep for forts, but the new main menu, both the graphics and music, Really turned me off.

    Then it didn't uninstall correctly, broke the SS installion. Too bad.
