I think that for playing reasons they are good like that, this way more than one army7character can land on them, in fact I was thinking of making some of them bigger, like malta.

I was thinking that we could maybe remove a couple small islands to free up spots for the eventual move to Kingdoms and more factions. Just my opinion though.

well, I believe that the islands portrayed in the map we are using are quite esential, I can´t imagine not being a Malta or Rhodes or Belearic islands(only represented by one region)

When we move to kingdoms we can try and include factions that would be in those areas less faction populated, like cummans. If we also find that some of the new factions clash with the current ones we could always rearange their position and regions controled.

I like the ideia, want region´s are planning to remove for TLR, my sujection for removin region´s are in north Arfrica, you can lose 2 region there, for add the isle and one more in the midle east.

Sorry acegogo but i am very annoying, i have found this is the Byzantium Empire in 1080 if you compare it the map of the TLR the are missing some region maybe you can add this new region but governor can have rebel trays for making the revolt against the Emperor, this the player will star it many province but after some turns they star to get independent, and the player most be extra careful, after around this time the are many revolt old hover the Empire.

While looking for suitable spots for resources, I discovered that the Palermo region doesn't have a road. You can build a road just fine, and gain the advantages; but there is no actual road on the map after you build one. Just a cosmetic issue.

I believe it´s there but it´s too close to the city... maybe we can move it around a bit and try.

    Any takers on map changes????

Change polish city names. Im fed up with them having German names.
Thorn - Toruń (one of the oldest cities in Poland, the settlements in these lands existed long, but it was Teutonic order that built a castle there, however as Toruń was to recive city right and there was some objections, so village was "moved" more uphill away from Teutonic castle and than recived its city rights. In time settlements grow big and united into one city)
    Breslau - Wrocław
Stettin - Szczecin (Yes it is Polish settlement not German or HRE)
Cracow - Kraków (Only in Latin, Spanish, Italian and French it is written by "c" not "k", Yes it WAS Cracow in English, but nowdays they preffer its original spelling so it Krakow)
    Peremyshl - Przmyśl

If you can, change the borders of Magdeburg province, so that it will not cut Poland "in half". Now there is a Magdeburgs lands betwean West Pomerania and Silesia, like creators of MTW II forgot that Gniezno, the first capital of Poland was somewhere in that lands.

In Spain, i think city of Burgos could be added, or should replace Leon province, Leon would replace Santiago(...) castle than.

I think that making it possible for units to walk through sea betwean "England" and Ireland would be good as I have never seen AI conquer anything in there in my games.

    Forgot to mention resources.
    1) There is no coal in southern Silesia (Half of cities in that area was made by coal miners and their families)
    2) There is no Silver soth of Kraków. Nowdays the silver is gone, but back than it was enough.
    3) There is no Iron in Poland, but i dont remember where it was (I think north-east-east of Wrocław)

I decided not to use coal as a resource in my own changes. That will free a resource slot to be used for future factions. And historically, coal didn't become important until much later. It was only mined on a small scale for mostly local use, until the advent of coal-fired steel making and other industries.

In the changes which made it into TLR, from back when I was working on it in the early part of the year, it was decided to limit resources. So silver was removed in favor of dyes.

Historically, Poland was one of the few producers of the red dye made from the cochineal insect. In fact, the name of the incest from which the red dye is made became known as Polish cochineal, even though it lives from there to the Ukraine and Belarus. It was extremely valuable, all over Europe, in the period of the game. The ancient Slavs had been making a dye from the insect for centuries.

The Polish cochineal dye (also called St. John's Blood) was the main source of red dye all across Europe until Mexican cochineal began to supplant it after the 16th century. In the 15th-16th centuries, Polish cochineal was the one of the chief exports of both Poland and Lithuania. A pound weight of Polish cochineal was worth 4-5 Venetian pounds in coin.

Silver was also mined, but compared to Polish cochineal was not as important a trade resource. The same for iron.

The one resource which might be more important for medieval Poland over the famous red dye would be salt. I'd love to elimate sulfur, which didn't become important until gunpowder anyway, and change it to salt. Poland grew rich off salt mining in the Middle Ages. Two of the oldest salt mines in the world, which were still operating until recent decades, are both in Poland as you probably know, at Wieliczka and Bochnia, which mined salt continuously since the 13th century.

Sadly, choices had to be made to limit resources and so dyes won out. But I'll replace them with salt, or even make it salt and dyes, when we rearrange the resources graphics and put in new factions.

Is it possible to make a sea route from the dead sea around arabia and to India? Like in Lusted's mod for RTW.

Sadly, probably not. The map was pretty much all Tornnight, beginning with Spurious' BigMap and then he extended it to the east. Remaking the map to extend it to the south enough to include the entire Red Sea or Persian Gulf is unlikely, even if Tornnight returns, I suspect the map will stay as it is.

    Mountain passes.
Can mountain passes be more difficult ? I mean now they are just "railroad tunels under mountains" I think thet the passes through mountains should be slalomic, longer than just stright through it. If you take a look at Tatran pass betwean Poland and Hungary, it is making road to Buda-Pest longer.
Alpes are easy exept Insbuck area.

Can you add "better" Roads? Like Najaf and Bagdad to Mosul. Stettin to Breslau (my armies allways cross Magdeburgs province lands and HRE allways gets excomunicated for decalring war :p)
