Default THINGS THAT NEED TO BE LOOKED AT....

    OK people,

Lets use this post to put together the stuff that needs to be fixed. Also anybody that find a particular answer or fix for any off them let me know and Iīll try to put them all together in a new release.

    Here we go:

    • fix money issues, loads of users have identified this as the cause of many CTDs
    • battle AI being done by CONDO
    • Diferentiation made bigger between castles and cities.
    • Starting money for factions increased. makes game start more dinamic.
    • INTEGRATION WITH RETROFIT or KINGDOMS
    • events added, corrected and new GFX to be createdthanks to averoes and gfx by acegogo
    • faction flags gfx. this will probably be done when we migrate to kingdoms. too many other things to do.
    • Family trees reworked (ie. Sicily too many at start of campaign)more or less working but nearly there.
    • Map refining
    • adding templar to Spain and Portugal
    • resource misplacement. Edinburgh-wool. Thx Averroes.
    • Faction goals now appear correctly for all factions.acegogo
    • caspian see trade, reporting no benefits to settlements.
    • An Islamic faction taking Nishapur near the Khwarzemids is awarded the ancillary of "Emir of Siouah" instead of "Emir of Nishapur" but the text description still shows correctly as "Entitled as Emir of Nishapur" on the mouseover. The Emir of Siouah for the settlement of Siouah down near Egypt, functions fine. Thanks to Banjeeboy!!

The problem is in the export_ancillaries.txt file not in the trait itself. It's in the text for iace_nishapur description.

    • NAMES FIXED !!!! cause of many ctdīs!!!!!!!!!!!!! +REP Averroes!!!!!

well I keep adding as you lot remindme, and Iīll tick them off as we find answers.

    Lets get cracking.

I'm re-visiting resources altogether, Acegogo. It's a complex subject; so I started a new thread.

It turned into a long post. It's up now.

If it's possible to change the graphics for tobacco and chocolate and sulphur (to salt) and also rename them, then that opens up more possibilities. I have a list of possible new resources in that thread to rep[lace tobacco and chocolate, which will free up grain and gold for more general use.

No worries, Acegogo! Not impatient. I'm just long-winded. My posts turn into major pedantic tomes.

I listed some possible new resources. Looking for more input.

I linked to a post by Vindex246 in that thread. Details exactly what to do to change the graphics and the necessary .bin file to rename and recolor sulphur to salt. He also changed coal to glass and used the old RTW graphics for glass. And we can do the same for tobacco and chocolate (and maybe even camels, dogs and elephants!)

Have you find a form of the sistema of eras work in TLR, tor never fininsh the governament buildings and eras.
Can i suggest four tipes of governament buildings:
1šRoyal Land- they player can build all the buildings avebel for the faction, the populationg grothw will by normal but will by just avebel in home land area of the faction.

2š County Landīs- the player will have to less buildings but money given by the building will by biggar, the popualtion grothw will by larger, they this will by avebal in some more region mabe around the home land.

3š Ducal Landīs- The player can have to more recruit unit, they money will by less but the unit will cost less money and have better to mercenery, compere unit the home landīs and ducal landīs, the populationg grothw will by little, the area of building will by the same forme Couty landīs

4š Free Landīs- Most of unitīs avebel will by militia and mercenary and the building will very limited the population grothw will by normal, the area of recruit can by almost all the map.

actually, if you could have a look at the family stuff that will be much appreciated.... I am not to sure what you mean about templars and hospitallers.... if you mean adding them to spain and portugal please do, but if you mean to add them as a faction we have others in stock.

    Welcome on board.

about adding them to spain and portugal. Maybe we could only add one for each as that will diferineciate both factions that little bit more. Lets see what others think.

Alright will do. As for the Templar thing I meant adding the guild to factions that dont currently have them and should. Most of the catholic world should have them in my opionion. I'll open up a thread for each here in a few minutes.

I did some personal modding, and added a bunch of new crusader units (from MTW2Kingdoms), only recruitable by christian factions in the Holy Land, kind of a conditional Kingdom of Jerusalem.
Works out pretty well, although it eats up some EDU space.
A good idea for a possible Kingdoms port?

I would love to port TLR to Kingdoms. Just think I may need some help doing it. I do like your idea though, having crusader knights availible only in the holy land. Need to port to kingdoms first Im afraid. Its on the list though....

very good idea. at the moment we have a Areas of recuitment, maybe we could use these to incorporate your idea, I donīt know much about scripting but maybe we could add a conditioner not only for de area but also if the general is on a crusade or not.

    Just ideas.

Another bit I wanted to have a look was reducing the prices of mercenaries, maybe up their upkeep, my reasoning behind this would be that you donīt really train (initial cost) them but you hire them(upkeep) for a particular amount of time, they are more expensive to upkeep otherwise the would all be regular soldiers and not mercenaries.

Iīll let you know how it all goes during the weekend.

keep it up guys this is definetly gathering some mommentum.!!!!!

I actually used the area of recruitment idea to implement it.
The idea wasnīt to make them recruitable for crusading armies, my idea was that every christian faction holding a province in the Holy Land could access the "pool" of crusaders (Knights of Edessa, Antioch Squires etc).
I set the "spawn rate" pretty low for them, but it sure adds some flavor.
