Default [Decision] US Presidential Election Sub-Forum

    Proposer: ~The Doctor~
    Supporters: Trax

A new Sub-Forum will be added to the Political Mudpit, where members will be able to post about the impending U.S. Presidential Election, including (but not limited to) making threads about their favourite/least favourite candidate, news stories about the various campaigns, and possible policies that the new President may make.

Reason: I feel that the Mudpit has been spammed with multiple threads about the candidates for U.S. Presidency. Adding a dedicated Sub-Forum will help alleviate this, as well as providing a focus for one of the more important political events next year.

Seven threads out of the first sixty in the Pit is not spam. A second thread about this, however....

    I agree.

The scope for threads you can create is actually quite limited when you think about it. The Political Mudpit is and has been more than sufficient to accommodate presidential election threads, as shown by previous elections of a similar "importance".

Against. No need for a sub-forum.

How about you have a bill banning the discussion of US politics, with a special emphasis on any elections that may happen there...sound good? :hmmm:

I support this. Can we ban the discussion of American football at the same time?

No, this is just too redundant to be seriously considered.
"Romans not only easily conquered those who fought by cutting, but mocked them too. For the cut, even delivered with force, frequently does not kill, when the vital parts are protected by equipment and bone. On the contrary, a point brought to bear is fatal at two inches; for it is necessary that whatever vital parts it penetrates, it is immersed. Next, when a cut is delivered, the right arm and flank are exposed. However, the point is delivered with the cover of the body and wounds the enemy before he sees it."

Perhaps a forum in the CVRIA, .... more limited but supposedly more useful.

    DONE!!!

I guess I could start it with a discussion of my own views on US politics.

No, but how about anybody who talks about soccer in a football thread or football in a soccer thread gets an automatic 1 day ban?

That wouldn't be too clever since they're one and the same thing.

Fair enough. That would give ccllnply, Armfelt and JP226 a ban, right? Because they said soccer in my football thread.
