    Default A year of fun

Well my brothers it's been a year now for me since I got M2 and have been successful at playing all the factions (finally) nearing the close of this year. Even with all the bugs and need for MODs to better the game play it has been a really realistic game and like I said very fun and even frustrating.

I really didn't like kingdoms my friend got it and after two weeks gave it to me because he was tired of it. Yea the Apaches were fun but didn't hold my attention like M2.

I cannot wait for Empires but for now I think I must retire from the game for a while before I like many others have burnt them selfs out by playing too much.

I am turning to a new FPS my wife got me few days ago and cannot wait until they release the map editor and moding tools. Very rarely do I find a game without bugs be it in MP or SP modes. So if you like FPS games and one that so far has presented no bugs I highly recommend Call of Duty 4 if you are needing a break from M2 and are looking for a really clean game that works great right out of the box.

For now that's were I'll be until Empires is released which looks awesome, just hope less bugs then M2. I couldn't bring myself to buy kingdoms because of the unfinished product I got with M2. But what can you do if you love these types of games CA really has no competition in this area of gaming no one else is coming close to what they have. I can only hope and pray that the release of Empires will be worth the purchase.

What other games are you interested in when not playing M2?

    Rock on my brothers.

Star Wars Republic Commando is an awesome military style FPS with attitude. It great to actually have teammates and an AI that uses cover and doesn't just keep walking into your bullets or lasers or whatever you wanna call them.
COULD MY AVATAR BE THE MOST ANNOYING YOU HAVE EVER SEEN? I THINK SO!

I don't like Kingdoms either. AT ALL. Just the music and new units and factions. I might join you in COD4 sometime a little later down the road. I will have to have my internet hooked back up first.

I have doubts about Empires because of it focusing on gunpowder which is boring to me, and because it will have naval battles(that just means less time on land strategy and conquering), and lastly because the towns/cities and such will be static again. That has killed a lot of the replay value to me. M2 is fantastic. But once you're a veteran all the towns and forts being in the same place becomes to monotonous.

Anyway my name in COD4 will be Maestro_AKQ. Have fun, cya there eventually.

I'm still hooked on WoW for light relief but for strategy the old Hearts of Iron II is still a lot of fun. I think MTWII lands somewhere inbetween in that you have to think about it but you still have some hack and slash in the battles.
Hit them as hard as you can, as fast as you can, where its going to hurt them the most..... and preferably when theyre not looking!

I still remember I was playing RTW as Parthia yet again, completely out of touch with the gaming world, when I heard that a demo for M2 was out. I didn't even know they were making an M2! Before I even got to download the demo, the game came out. I bought it on the first day and skipped lectures to play it. Despite my love/hate relationship with it, I still don't regret it.

I don't see how one could have played all of the factions in all 4 scenarios in Kingdoms since it came out unless one did it full time and autocalced every battle. What about the Retro Mod? The AI battle improvement alone make Kingdoms worth every penny.
