Favorite National Anthems

I was browsing Youtube the other day and stumbled upon a video with the Russian national anthem. And I just wondered, what are your favorite national anthems and why.

Here's my top 2:

The Russian Anthem: Very Imperialistic and powerful.


The French Anthem: Very Patriotic and powerful.

The Russian anthem is very good of course but because it used to be a Soviet anthem I always feel both disgusted and amused in the same time, when I listen to it.

The Russian/Soviet anthem is imo the best one in the world.
It just sounds powerful and magnificent.

Yea, the Soviet one sounds very badass.

Soviet/Russian one... it is just OTT poweful. And nowadays, somehow amusing.

The Russia anthem is pretty cool but in my heart there is only La Marseillaise.

This one is INFINITELY better than the one posted. I makes me want to wear red, commie step down the street, with nuclear equipped scud launchers following behind.

I confess a fondness for the Soviet Internacional. This is because once back in the mists of a few weeks of time my MySpace had a communist revolution, which was fortunatly, quickly quelled before statues could be pulled down and royal families carted off.

Yeah there is no doubt about it Russian/Soviet anthem for the win.
