    Nevermind.

I liked the Sergio Leone Movies alot.

    In no particular order:

    1. Fistfull of Dollars
    2. Few Dollars more
    3. Good Bad Ugly
    4. Once Upon A Time in the West.

Unfortunately those are the only ones I've seen. I've liked 'em all, but please list a few more.

I prefer newer westerns, simply cuz the whole "old west" thing is hard enough for me to get into, without the added trouble of aging.

I suppose my all time favorite, Desperado!

But Seraphim Falls, 3:10 to Yuma (with Russel Crowe) are badass too.

What's 3:10 to Yuma? And Desperado? Is that any good? I've not seen any 'new Westerns' except maybe 'The Mexican'-that's not a 100% Western.

3:10 to Yuma is a 2007 remake of an older 60's film by the same name, it's beautiful.

Desperado.. it's like a modern day western. Trust me, you'll love it. Replace six shooters with silenced Uzi. Thats the feeling of Desperado.

Can only really mention the famous trilogy, here:

    1. For a few dollars more.
    2 A fistful of dollars.
    3. The good etc.

Probably have not seen the large amount of westerns as you others might have, or only seen them once, which is not enough to remember.
    Though have seen Trinity too.

Edit: Don't know if Dancing with Wolves is considered to be a Western, but I like it.
Same era perhaps, different script comparing to a Western.

It's good but not the best.

It's slightly corny, and the nighttime scenes are not filmed at night.

That's all you need. I was just wandering through my library when I saw The Proposition, checked it out on a whim, and loved it.

Yep - a classic of the genre. Despite being set just a touch east of the West. Most other Westerns are clean, pleasant, non-violent and merry little picnics by comparison.

because it's no more a a film about life in the western United States during the period of exploration and development than better movies such as, say, The Killer (if you want to stay in Gun-Fu movies) ?
