alright I want the Aztecs to have Carracks! so i play with ther files a bit
and the player can build Carracks when playing as the Aztecs, but the AI dfo not use them. Anybody know the problem and the fix? i want to let the aztecs invade Europe

wouldn't it be easier to have the aztecs emerge in dublin? with 4 20stacker armies or something? also wouldn't they have to wait for the "World Is Round" event to come over to europe? im not very good at changing things so someone will have better ideas. (waits expectantly for someone to one-up me....)
yes it would. but i wish them to qonquer the Americaz and then build a fleet and invade a random place in europe.
akso if i let them invade Dublin they would be stuck in great britain and that would not solve my problem
As far as I know, the AI doesn't go to the new world anyway so I imagine that the Aztecs wouldn't go back to Europe. Unless Lusted has changed this in his AI![]()
I always had the idea that when they qoquerd the entire americaz they would have to go somwhere right? then europe is the closest place

It could be that they cannot 'see' the old world as it is to many regions/moves away ie the ocean section. I would try giving them Crete, and an ai personality which uses ships and then see if they build then This will tell you if its a hardcoded issue or whether its a matter of 'range'. Remember that one of the issues with the russain factions is that they are slow to expand do to the distance between settlements.

Gary, goto the Data folder in your Stainless Steel MOD and find the file "Descr_effects_impacts.txt". Open it with notepad or a similar program. Goto "edit" and do a "find", type in "play_time". Everytime you see this : ;play_time 5 it means that the program will skip that command. The semi-colon ; needs to be deleted or the event such as arrows will last forever. The number after "play_time" is how many seconds it lasts if i remember correctly.
Here is a small sample of my modded file, notice i have shortend the times down from 5 to 1. Also remember to make a copy of the original before you play with the file, just in case.
