    Icon4 MAX Unit Limit Reached in CAE

    Well I have some bad news.. When I made the entry for the Swedish unit Hermankrisgare,the game CTD'd at the start up and I received this error:

    10:31:05.921 [data.invalid] [error] DATABASE_TABLE error found : max records exceeded from file CloudsAcrossEurope/data/export_descr_unit.txt.

    I've heard before that there is a limit in mtw2 about the new units,but haven't thought that I were bordering it.

    Now in CAE the new unit work that was left the additional Abbasid units and the Early periods of the Swedish roster...Compensation for the Polish units; Plus some Latin empire units..

    Ok here is what I'll do.. I'll remove completely 1 mercenary unit from the game and obligatorily use it for the last High period unit that I created and currently am not able to implement to the EDU..

    For the remaining early Swedish units,Abbasid units and Latin Empire units,I'll compulsorily use the vanilla entries,descriptions and units...

    The only good point is that I can reskin them for the Abbasids,Swedish etc. Plus I can make the unit cards no problem there..

    Sad news.

    Can't you just remove some " copied" or unceccesary units from the game?

    As you know usually for western factions 1 unit is used by many other factions...

    I don't want to disable any vanilla or my units that had been created.. So I will be forced to used the existing units and reskin them.

    Which mercenary is to be tossed? Id suggest the Irish Kerns as they wont be much of a loss really. Although you know my feelings on the Irish in the game a crappy unit is a crappy unit.

    There will be only a single mercenary unit that is to be tossed.I need a single unit and no more.

    I agree that Irish Kerns would be a good choice,Murphy.

    I agree. the mercenaries that are no good, take them out.Even the native warriors in America are bad, and some units only found in few provinces.

    I would suggest removing units from the game that are basically the same. I think of units like armoured sargents or something like that. Really just taking space if you ask me, as you have same unit that should have similiar stats and looks whn upgraded.

    I know what you mean.

    Usually the Early period mercenary units are kind of uninteresting but among the mercenary unit roster,there are some cool units like the "Landschneckt" as a late mercenary unit.

    Moreover,mercenaries are too important a feature to be completely discarded,this could deal a serious blow to gameplay.

    One tends to need them when there isn't enough soldiers,or where there is an urgent need for more soldiers,and the army is too far away on a campaign to be supplied or supported properly.

    Right now there is no place left in the EDU to make a new entry for Hermankrisgare of Sweden which I've already created,and I need a single space for them to be featured.

    The rest of the Swedish Roster is already set,including the Early period units,when I'll post the screenshot of an early period unit in the Sweden thread you'll see what I mean,Eranshahr..
