I think I am about to get kingdoms and I was wondering: would I have to get any patches for it? I have M2 Vanilla and I wasn't sure.

patches 1.2 and 1.3 are included on the Kingdoms disk, so there's no need do download

I think you have to run the patch install files on the kingdoms disc... however theres no downloading. Concidering they are 600mb each this is great news.

Quite right, simply buy the disk and put it in. You are prompted to install the patches.

Make sure that you have a clean install of MTW2 before you install kingdoms.

Don't forget once you have it installed and you want to install mods, that you must have both the MTW2 files and Kingdoms files unpacked!
