    Default autocombat damaging buildings

    autocombat damaging buildings even if there were no artilerry units involved on either side ....

    I consider it to be a bug...am I right ? can anything be done about it?
    (I only autocombat the battles that are farr to less of a chalandge 4 me & more of a waste of time ...so fighting all my batles myself is not a good option )

    Hell no ! Haven't you ever seen any of those old Western movies where they get into a giant bar fight and tear the place apart? All the chairs get broken over somebody's back, the tables get demolished when people get punched and fall onto them, and they throw each other through the windows.

    Now picture 1,000 cowboys vs another 1,000 cowboys... no, wait, we'll make them ninjas.

    Yes. 1,000 cowboys vs. 1,000 ninjas. Just imagine the damage they would do to that poor town. There wouldn't be a chair, table or window left standing.

    ...not that windows "stand", persey.

    yes, I have ...& there's a part where the bartender tryes to tell them to" take it outside" in order not to damage the place - the DIFFERENCE is that in the game ALL the fighting is done in the streets & on the walls - OUTSIDE

    let me try to rephrase it:

    1 I have a full stack army to lay siege to a city /town that only had 2 units garnisoning it
    2 neither army has any siege weapons , except for the battering rams , sige towers & ladders I use - SO THERE"S NO WAY IN HELL that anything can attack a building
    3 if I fight the battle myself & win THERE ARE NO DAMAGED BUILDINGS
    4 if I want to take the autocombat shorcut I GET SERIOUS BUIDING DAMAGING

    my question is - IS IT NORMAL to get BUILDING DAMAGING IN AUTOCOMBAT , considering that , if I play the battle I GET NO BUILDING DAMAGE? Is this normal - or is it a bug? & if it is a bug : can it be solved or is it hard codded?

    & just to make my point clearer ...I'm not THAT pissed that I get building damage in autocombat just because of the damege ...it would be fine if I could damage /demolish buildings using my troops ...

    I'm sorry lads but we just can't destroy that 300 year old wooden chair, We just don't have any artillery today.

    ..true ... that's what CA does to us each time we asault a city : "that unit cannot attack buildings" ....

    so, I just say this if we can't break chairs with no artilery ,how come autocombat can ?

    soldiers when unsupervised, like to destroy,pillage and loot. also if your wages were crap wouldn't you loot if you could? i mean a church/bank has to have good stuff.

    Normally that would/MUST be Ninjas vs. Pirates.

    also, how do ports get destroyed? fairly often the port is quite a while away from the city... the soldiers must be very determined

    Yeh I can just imagine.

    Okay this thread has gone off track but it seems like a bug mate, my solution fight your own battles, don't use autoresolve.

    I've noticed this happening a lot, since once I installed Kingdom I get about a 50% crash rate when I try to fight the battle (don't know why, something gets messed up along the way). But it's not really a big deal, just queue everything up to be repaired and it gets repaired quite quickly. A couple extra bucks on your wallet, but nothing too crazy.

    It is kind of annoying, but I figure that when fighting in crowded city streets there is going to be *some* collateral damage. Blood splatters, chinks out of the stone from missed slashes, bodies crashing through windows and the like. Eh.

    It could be because you told your soldiers to sack the town, thereby damaging buildings, but I have noticed this before

    TO be honest I have had this before on ROme total war. But I never Auto Resolve on Med 2 Because you could have a 10 to 4 advantage, then loose.
