Well that myth is busted ......Nice one! +rep!
There are two kinds of officers, sir: killin' officers and murderin' officers. Killin' officers are poor old buggers that get you killed by mistake.
Murderin' officers are mad, bad, old buggers that get you killed on purpose - for a country, for a religion, maybe even for a flag!
Is it just me, or are half the pictures not showing? And what mod are you using?
Under the patronage of Rhah and brother of eventhorizen.
sod the marriage, allied for 68 turns...
you mean they didnt stab you in the back after 15?!?!?
Sired by Niccolo Machiavelli

Father of secret basement children Boeing and Shyam Popat
well that is interesting....
but i think, they could marry because you are playing a mod.![]()
I guess I'm their only ally I think.Originally Posted by Gary88

after 7 times of clicking the refresh button I realized that he has cut away some of the picture off.
Very nice tho.
Yup.. sorry about the pics.. I forgot to crop them..
For info. I play Retrofit Mod basically with some of add ons..
Played one turn per year with correct aging script.
Use BB&B 2.1 and also CNP 3.0
Add some kingdom units.
Also enable muslim princess.
Anyway, if it's hardcoded as some suggest then no mods can change that.
Maybe the Kingdom.exe make the marriage avialable ?

it looks like the mod deus lo vult. i think they have princesses for the muslim factions now and they can marry christian factions.
Heresy!!!

Tuitio Fidei et Obsequium Pauperum
Well, it must be due to the mods 'cause I had like 2 princesses spawming at Jerusalem after I took it from the Egyptians. I made an alliance with Egypt one turn after and had a good relationship with them out of a sudden and I didn't have the option to marry anyone of them off. +rep anyways![]()

I think it works for you only because you have enabled Muslim princesses. Probably only factions that produce princesses can marry each other. I remember playing a very European Moorish camapaign in vanilla and never ever had the option to marry into christian states.

LOL nice one kahn
EDIT: referring to last post on page one.
i think there have been historic references to spanish/portugese/sicilian- arab/moroccan/other muslim marriages. not sure though
"wasn't a Byzantine princess, i think a illegimate daughter of the Emperor was married to a Mongol Khan...wonder how that turned out."
uhh... yeah... hehe snicker snicker...
LOL i just wondered...not racist or anything but weird couple to look at, did they have any kids
Actually Basil Bulgaroctonus nearly started a war when a German (? western anyway) king asked to marry his sister, and he counter-offered an illegitimate half-sister.
If my history is correct the Byzantine royals didn't marry outside their faction (I mean the proper, legitimate royals) until they were completely desperate in the 1400s.
Didn't work out for them huh in the end?
Poor Byzies
Yes, but think... The HRE was basically what remained of the Western Roman Empire after it collapsed... so if the Byzantine-HRE marriage produced a son, he might technically be an heir to the entire Roman Empire. Awesome.
Too bad that stubborn Kaiser backstabbed the Greeks.
Again.
