A Terminator TV Series?

I heard about this fairly recently, so we have a Star Wars series coming and now we have a Terminator series that is going to air very soon as well.

Anyone think this will be any good? I will watch it to judge for myself simply out of curiosity I just want to see what your opinions are.

Should be as good as the RoboCop series!

Why do they continue to avoid the only interesting place left in the Terminator world - the post-apocolyptic future?

That would be cool, I heard that is what the 4th movie was going to be about.

I don't see how you could possibly make a TV series out of Terminator. It can't be done, says I.

I've just pulled an allnighter watching the Heroes TV-series and I got to say it was a blast. It has everything a good series needs.Compelling storyline, great variety of characters, all the classical comic themes, well built plot and one hell of a cast. I had already seen a few episodes but now I've finaly seen the whole story and I must say I am deeply satisfied. Allthough the finale could have been a bit more spectacular I can say this is one of the best series I've ever seen. I'm actually looking forward to season 2 and it's been a while since I had that feeling with a TV-series. Series like 24, Lost and Prison Break(first episodes were catchy) just can't capture my interest. I used to be a huge comic fan/collector so that would explain my enthusiasm and it could just be the sleep deprivation talking but it made feel like I was reading my first comic again.

I just hope the Starwars series is gonna be any good, as for Terminator...aah what the hell, why not.

I'll have to wait and see what they'll actually do with the Terminator concept because as it is, I really have no idea how they're gonna do it. I always thought that the cyborg from the future was what made the concept interesting, but for the series I can only imagine Sarah and John fleeing and hiding from the police and possibly some evil dudes from Cyberdyne Systems .

It could be set in the early days of the Resistance. That would be interesting.

How observent of you. I just mentioned my "Heroes experience" because it's been a really long time a tv-series managed to capture my interest. So the causality is that I hope that a Terminator series would be of a similar quality and would have the same characteristics like a good storyline etc.

Being awake for 48 hours probably prevented me from making a more coherent post.

People seem to forget that you can kill Terminators... it's just a wee-bit hard, that's all.

It's not though, it's set between the 2 and 3 movies, with Sarah and John Connor on the run. That much's been clear.

Wasn't there a series of novels that depicted that period?

I think this should be given a chance, at least. Sci-fi lately has had a few good shows lately to make it worth a try.

Everyone thought that BSG, before seeing any of it, was going to be bad.
