When are the Marian Reforms in 6.2?
Have a Roman Campaign in 6.2. (didnt know that 6.3 existed)
In Vanilla, when you get a Huge City, you automatically get Marian Reforms.
I got Rome to become a Huge City in RTR, its about 220BC. When will the reforms come?

I don`t remember exactly how it was in RTW v1.2. I think you need to build the imperial palace in italy, but outside Rome.
Btw, the last RTR version for RTW v1.2 is RTR 6 Gold. And the official website is totalrealism.net not the .com thing.

Re: When are the Marian Reforms in 6.2?
From the FAQs;
11) "I'm in year X BC and still have not had the Marian Reforms!"
Gaius Marius reformed the Roman army in the year 107 BC. This reform was undertaken in part because the Roman military engine had exhausted all eligible Romans of proper social rank for the military, and the Republic was under increasing pressure from the Gauls to the north and from Jugurtha of Numidia to the south, not to mention Mithradates in the east. By allowing members of society from the "head count", or, the landless lower class, Marius created a standing professional army for the first time in Roman history. The reform date in Rome Total War is hardcoded by the developers at Creative Assembly, and can occur at any date after 220 BC. However, several factors influence this. The reform will only occur if you have constructed at least one imperial palace in Italy and have sufficient population in Rome (this factor is open to dispute, however). The Rome Total Realism Team did not change the date of the Marius reforms, or influence it in any way. So, if you're unhappy you are in year 30 BC and still don't have legionaries, either build an imperial palace, or write to Creative Assembly.
In my Macedonian campaign I think I must have kicked the Romans out of Italy before the reforms could be triggered. I've been playing the RTR 6 Gold campiagn until 154AD and it hasn't kicked in (as far as I can tell). I have seen the reforms start as late as 40BC when playing the Romans. I get the feeling that you need an Imperial Palace in Rome and one other settlement in Italy.
The big problems with the reform as Romans is that you can no longer recruit many pre-marian units (Hasati, Principes, Triari, Funditores etc) and you have to either disband the old units or keep merging them with other survivors. Being able to recruit Syrian archers in some settlements after the reforms os OK though.
If you are playing RTR based on RTW 1.2 then I'd suggest downloading RTR 6 Gold from the web site. After RTR 6.2 there was a RTR 6.3 and then a RTR 6.3 with a 'hotfix' which became RTR 6 Gold.
