action of Livonian Auxiliaries

A question about the Livonian Auxiliaries. In Kingdoms, when they loading they would turn back, but why in SS 5.0, they would not turn back when they are loading?

I don't know, but it certainly seems like they fire faster now!

yes, it looks faster for loading, but i wonder whether it would affect their defence.

No it wont. The game cant recognise when the shield on their back would take a hit or not. Their defense value is the same no matter what way they face.

That seems weird, I've always been positive that arrow fire from the sides/rear of targets with shields get through much much more.

I hardly think it does, I have not noticed a difference in any way. They are a damn good unit.

I remember reading on the official forums that crossbowmen with the pavise shield on their backs do not get any extra defense when their shields are turned towards the enemy. Their total defense takes into account the shield value at all times.
