Cav problem in 1.0
Ok I haven't found any fixes or threads for it so it could be just me, but my cavalry at least all that I've tested will not lower their spear/lance/kontos whatever they have when they charge under any circumstances. does anyone know whats up with this? because it makes even heavy cav like the heterotori(is that spelled right) cause only one maybe two kills with a charge that had a running start into the back of the enemy formation.

They will lower their spears, you just have to do the charge correctly. Try starting from farther away. Or try just single clicking, they will walk up and then charge, spears down, at just the right distance.

Re: Cav problem in 1.0
The distance needed and lowering spears to achieve a charge is based on RTW hardcoding. I hear it is even harder to get them to do it right in M2TW as well.
Well, elephants shouldn't do too well in prolonged combat. If they are fighting an enemy and the enemy doesn't flee, they will probably loose.
I don't know about the sound effects. You mean they make hoof sounds or something?

Ok thank you for clearing that up. The spears in M2TW should actually be easier... well maybe not but the can work just fine, at least they do in Stainless Steel where they at almost any distance(even well within charge range) wheel about beautifully and charge in spears lowered causing massive carnage. So if they don't in vanilla M2 try heading over to the SS forum and ask King Kong how he did it. I suppose I should have been more specific, yes they have hoof sounds as opposed to the thumping tread of an elaphant.
