My computer is crap

I know this has been brought up before but I love this mod and my commuter is very much crap! It keeps crashing ever half hour or so something about my graphics driver and digital memory! Any way is there any unnecessary graphic effects that I can disable to make this playable. I already nixed the water but it doesn’t seem to be enough.

Actually the water is a placebo, it dosen't make any difference what so ever.

try disabling antialiaising, it consumes resources, and he game looks fine without it. disable shadows, both in campaign and battle map, and, at last in my pc, disabling grass in the battle map improves performance a lot.

what's your vc? try to get newer or optimized drivers. i have an Nvidia 7100gs, the original drivers suck, so i installed optimized drivers created by users and now it works fine.

I have every thing set as low as possible perhaps I just need a new computer… sigh well at least Christmas I near.

what are the spacs of your pc?

Using a xpress (radeon) 1100 and I am playing it in huge setings, I believe RAM memory is more important here than graphics card

Dose this help explain my problem? I am all but given up on EB if it doesn’t crash out right it seams to just break the computer. Strangely at random times the monitor goes blank and while still one the indicator light goes from green to orange even though both it and the computer are still on. This only happens when playing the game and besides that the computer seems to function fine.

If EB wasn’t so dam awesome I might have just given up sooner but I really want to play it.

More ram would be the way to go.

Try to disable the grass, and play on large settings instead of huge. Check the results. Theres also a low and medium grass, try to play it on low. Check also if your card is not suffering from high temperatures inside the case, this can slow the graphics after some hours playing.

Seriously, you'll need better PC not just for EB, but for any new game. You know the saying: new year, new computer....

The only thing I would suggest to you is to use Alex.exe for EB 10 or EB11
It is less demanding and 30% faster.. I know I was able to run it on ALX.exe on my old PC ... but not on RTW.exe
