One of the most tolerating and passive of the debaters on this forum, he is always willing to stand down when caught out, or step back to learn rather then the stubborn front sometimes presented by more hard-headed posters. Although not the library which some of the other phalera awardees are, he is however a figurehead of the perfect debater on the forum, and I hope an inspiration to many other posters.

If mind is common to us, then also the reason, whereby we are reasoning beings, is common. If this be so, then also the reason which enjoins what is to be done or left undone is common. It would be nice to provide some links to posts that demonstrate that he deserves this. In my opinion he does:

    This post on Ontological anxiety
    His work on Buddhism
    Richard Dawkins comments on criticisms.
    ...and my personal favourite...

Your request is an easy one.

"The problems with translating sanskrit to English, suffering and desire are such imperfect descriptions."

I do not know Sanskrit but I live between languages, I only know as a stranger, that I understand the problem.

Cheers for the links garb, the piece written in Richards Dawkins Comments on Criticisms was actually pulled from the times which I noted but should have made clearer, my apologies.

I must note that these medal votes should have been up almost two days ago, this is either gross disregard by the Curator, as I have mentioned in these threads when the votes should have gone up, or he is dead (or otherwise unable to click buttons). I can only assume it is the former.

I remember quite recently waiting weeks before something was moved to a vote. These things happen and I didn't feel the need to stamp my feet. This was prior to Elrond but I coped.

I'm not going to PM him, I said as such in the first thread I put up. No previous Curator has needed reminding to check threads in the area is he is the sole moderator of, neither should he.

    Stop whining and PM him.
Count no man happy until he is dead.

I have done, to ask him to actually do his job. If he is incapable of doing so he should have followed your example and admitted it.

I have done my utmost to make his job easy here, kept the original post up to date, made it clear when the proposal can go to vote, even shown which supporters are CdeC. If he's too lazy to just scan the first post of a thread in the forum he has taken charge of, he should shift his weight to write a resignation.

Perhaps rather than sending me three angery pms it might have been a better idea to do what everyone else does - that is send me a pm saying that thread X needs moving to vote - its simple and is what everyone else does. Repeatedly insulting me, telling me that I should resign, telling me that know one in the Curia likes me and other pathetic things in your pms is what I would expect off a 12 year old. Your blind refusal to pm the names of the bills you wanted moving added to the immaturity.

I could have moved these bills to vote days ago If you had pmed me - I have said numerous times that I wont regularly check threads such as these as I find medals threads such as these utterly pointless and of no benefit to TWC. If I am sent a pm asking me to move them I will - but if you deliberately chose not to tell me and then decide to insult me until I check the threads don't be surprised if it takes me allot longer.

I know my behavior annoys some people but it has no negative effect on TWC - otherwise I would behave differently. Since the VonC I have tried to move threads on time and when I have been informed I have done it. The only other case was when I didnt move all the CdeC votes ending on the 16th until the early hours of the 18th - this was because TWC kept timing out for me for nearly a day and I simply found it impossible to move the votes.

Every Curator adds at least one convention to the job and most Curators drop at least one convention - I am trying to apporach the job from the perspective of a normal citizen as apposed to a paper pushing bureaucrat.

I dont mind people pming me informing me of mistakes I have made but I think the level of insults I recive via pms on occasions is unacceptable - I try to approach the job maturely but others prefer to let there anger out on me.

Way to go twisting my words. I meant everything I said in those PMs, perhaps rather then waste your time replying to them, and writing this reply, you should have taken my advice and done your job.

Your personal beliefs are insignificant, quite frankly no one cares, you're the Curator, your job is to do the paper work for the Curia, so get up and do it. And since you eventually did check these threads I consider my PMs a success, if only a minor one, of getting you to stop being so lazy and pay attention to the forum you promised to serve when you applied and then subsequently took the position as Curator.

I know my behavior annoys some people but it has no negative effect on TWC - otherwise I would behave differently. Since the VonC I have tried to move threads on time and when I have been informed I have done it. You said you would try harder since the VonC, I have seen no evidence of this. You are still as much disregarding of your position and your duty as every before. At least tBP shifted his weight, even later on when he didn't give a damn anymore.

Every Curator adds at least one convention to the job and most Curators drop at least one convention - I am trying to apporach the job from the perspective of a normal citizen as apposed to a paper pushing bureaucrat.
You are a paper pusher, thats what the rank is. If you want it to stop being a paper pushing rank propose an amendment. If not either get on with your job or resign, and stop whining about the workload.

I dont mind people pming me informing me of mistakes
Your mistake is not doing your job, quite major in my opinion. And you have done nothing to rectify this problem.

I have made but I think the level of insults I recive via pms on occasions is unacceptable - I try to approach the job maturely but others prefer to let there anger out on me
Thats because you are the cause of the anger. If you had done your job then I would have had no reason to PM you. I am not angry, in fact I'm in a very good mood today, but your behavior is unacceptable. I don't have a job not to annoy your, nor a duty to, in fact apparently I am even able to flame you if necessary. You on the other hand have a duty to the curia, one you have disregarded repeatedly out of sheer laziness. You said you refresh every tn minutes between doing things. I checked and found you zipped all over the forum, even visiting the Proth on two occasions. Yet still not capable of pressing a few buttons and skimming the first post of a thread.

    I support this.
"Romans not only easily conquered those who fought by cutting, but mocked them too. For the cut, even delivered with force, frequently does not kill, when the vital parts are protected by equipment and bone. On the contrary, a point brought to bear is fatal at two inches; for it is necessary that whatever vital parts it penetrates, it is immersed. Next, when a cut is delivered, the right arm and flank are exposed. However, the point is delivered with the cover of the body and wounds the enemy before he sees it."
