Does anyone know what txt file this is in? I want to remove it but I have no idea where to look or start looking.

why do you want to remove? it adds pretty much reality imo.

I would like to know what file it is in aswell. not to remove it, but alter it. im assuming it is somewhere in the campaign script, maybe?

Reality in a video game, while a sometimes nice goal, is practically non-existant. I have conquered England under a French banner, subdued the known world under the shadow of the Papacy, none of which took place in the real world, history and reality can bite it in my opinion.

However, my focus is on having fun playing the game, not getting pissed off at every little detail that doesn't match history or reality. And I find that I enjoy actually playing the game rather than constantly adjusting taxes and making all my 'sims' happy.

Any ideas? I am thinking on adjusting the rate to half or removing it entirely, nobody has to tell me how, just what file it is under, ill try to figure it out myself.

But as you have said you have already conquered with things as hard as they are, so I would have thought it was better to make them harder, not easier.

It's for my girlfriend actually, (though I won't lie, taking care of settlements is annoying to me too).

Skibbles just have to say I love the banner. Yes it is annoying taking care of all the settlement when your empire becomes very large. Most of the time I never get to that point myself. Once I reach the brink of world domination I usally grow bored and start a new game.
