General Installation.

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
Download the zip file and use the browse button to unpack into your C:/Program Files/Sega/Medieval II Total War/mods/teutonic (or other campaign) folder. If you did not install the game in the default setup directory then use the browse button to point to the correct folder.
When unpacking you may be asked "Would you like to replace the existing files" and "The file is a read only. Are you sure you want to overwrite it?" In both cases select Yes.
Check to see that the files and folders have been added and are in the correct mods/campaign/data directory (unless unpacked)
Create a new campaign shortcut from Kindoms.exe too your desktop by right-clicking and dragging to the desktop and selecting from the menu "Create shortcuts here". Rename it eg Teutonic2. Right click the new shortcut you just created and in the target field paste
"C:\Program Files\SEGA\Medieval II Total War\kingdoms.exe" --io.file_first --features.mod=mods/teutonic (or any other campaign)
NOTE: This pathway is valid only if you installed in the default setup directory.
Double click the new shortcut to play.
See the readme for uninstall instructions.

Hmmm only prob so far is that i had some trouble with the KTC.exe thingy, kept saying it couldnt put certain files in, so i directed to my documents and put them in manually. Not sure if this was just me screwing something up though.
I've noticed, playing as Lithuania is the Pagan Magician Trait still gives you a negative when your a Pagan Faction?
I think they should just delete this trait, it's caused nothing but trouble even for the Grand Campaign.
You know, in the Kingdoms picture thread I posted the North Lights picture. The hochmeister there wasn't my original. In my latest Teutonic campaign, the Hochmeister skin transfers as it should, yet I didn't do anything.
I have no idea why. Good job despite making the Kalamr script download obsolete *selfish sob* + rep.
There was a problem with the package which is now fixed. If you downloaded an earlier version then you will need to manually place the files. Remember to place the entire contents in the mods/teutonic folder.
Also the UI folder must go in the data folder. The earlier package unzipped it outside of the data folder as well as some files. You can check to see that its in the right place by using the toggle_fow cheat to reveal the map and right-click on Norways longboat to see if the picture is there. If you get a pic of a RTW peasant than its not in the right place.
@thebigbossnahhh
If enough agree I will tone it down. I had 4 out 6 generals pick up the pagan magician. As the Lithuanians you probably can't afford the number of priests needed to keep pagan religion above 90% so try to keep the heretic level below 10%.
@SSJPabs
Lots of peculiarities in these campaigns b/c of the scripts. The Kalmar script fix your invention? This is the only fix I picked up from the forums but don't remember where. If its yours I'll happy give you credit.

If you mean this one, it's partly mine. The coding was done by another user who has since disappeared, but the files I offered were the ones I corrected according to his research--they're my personal script files for whatever that's worth. The actual fix is as simple as adding an event counter.

I did it manually as well. Although I think I might have done it wrong. I put all the files from the patch into the folders data so they could overwrite the ones already there.
No -- thingy added after the .exe and it seems to be ok, so far. But I've only checked to see if the unit icon for the Norway ships worked.
existing previously you should only have the following unless its previously modded
----------------
animation folder
fmv folder
sounds folder
world folder

Also this will become the official thread for Teutonic bugfixer so I will answer your question from the other thread here.

To play the original game revert the following files with the originals in the backup folder.
campaign_script.txt
descr_mercenaries.txt
descr_strat.txt
descr_win_conditions.txt
They're all located in C:\Program Files\Sega\Medieval II Total War\mods\teutonic\data\world\maps\campaign\imperial_campaign
Oh bloody hell. First I instaled it and had that bug when all the city names were in huge boxes and did the whole thing again and is says it suffered a fatal error and it can't start.
I guess that is the reason I wanna play the original cause I am paranoid with modding.
Well I got it started agian but the huge boxes remain. I cant see what inside the cities. Noticed that my teutonic FL has normal general skin. What went wrong? Oh God, not again. All commands messed up. So sad.
Tell me exactly how you installed and exactly what you have in the teutonic/data folder?
you should have have 4 folders
animations, fmv, sounds, world and ui
and 5 files?
export_description_ancillaries.txt
export_description_character_traits.txt
export_description_buildings.txt
export_description_unit.txt
export_descr_guilds.txt
right???
You got the desktop shortcut right. Right?
and did anything weird ever happen anytime before installing?
Hi. Well I finnaly got home to check it. In my mod/teutonic/data folder there are 20 folders and 59 notepad files casue its unpacked. In my other mod egg. britanian there are 4 folders cause the it's unpacked. Well I'm gonna reinstall it and try again. Maybe that was the bug. :hmmm:
Will do. I am back at work now. (yes, I live close to work) Only wierd thing I remember that the installer asked me that some files were read only (I think) and should I overwrite them. I overwrote everything. Everything else was normal.
Well looking in dl file. You say 4 folders and yet you count 5; animations, fmv, sounds, world and ui.
I have only 2 folders in my zip file; ui and world. Miss animations, fmv and sounds. (you fixed the accent?) Well that seems to be the problem? Wrong upload?
