In my games, I tend to use a lot of assassins. Believe me, this makes expansion much easier when you first take out their generals, then their spies and assassins, then their priests/imams, plus killing unwanted heretics (I don't like to use my own priests, because they turn to heretics too much).
Anyways, in my routine of killing family members, I've noticed that I will often kill a general or heir at the head of an army one turn, only to have another one show up at the head of the army the next turn. The army didn't move, and there didn't appear to be any other armies or troops around. This has happened multiple times with multiple factions in multiple games and mods. It also happens with settlements.
So, my question is, does the AI "cheat" by granting itself generals and family members when you kill too many, or am I imagining things?
