Regions in scandinavia
Regions in scandinavia
The regions currently in SS 5.0 could need some changes; by removing one region and adding three more.
The settlement which to remove is Gothebourg - this was probably just a small fishing-comunity at the time.
The settlements to add is Kalmar, Lund and Skara: of which Lund and Skara is the most important (Skara however might be named Lödöse) it might also be an idea to make Uppsala into a city instead of castle.
This image is really for another mod - so just ignore the other areas not mentioned.
EDIT:this is for the late/high era campagn

Re: Regions in scandinavia
Reached the limit? Isn't it like 199 provinces?
I think that KK is using a map-mod for Stainless Steel - might be the reason why he's not adding any regions (not sure though). It sucks that the regions historically controled by Denmark aren't there; instead two Swedish regions which are not very important have been added! I'd be really happy if KK could do something about this for next SS patch.
BTW: I agree on Lödöse, the map I've drawn up is for Renaissance mod.

Re: Regions in scandinavia
Hi Hrimfar,
First of all, thanks for the good information!
And the map is done only by myself and so the added settlements, of course.
Well, I knoe that Gothenburg was founded later, but I have added it since it has a very balanced position at this spot of the map...
Nevertheless, since you are not the first who requested a change on the scandinavian settlements I will probably delete Gothenburg and will add Lund and Skara (and Hamar, btw).
Probably I won't make this change with the patch, since I have some bigger problems at the moment, but you can be sure it will be changed!
Hi Feddan,
Thank you, too! I have also seen your thread...
