Whats wrong?

For some reason, all the EB-related files run unbelievably slow on my computer. Installing it took at least 40 minutes, and the installed game doesn't go past the initial title screen. Everything else runs fine on my comp, installations are all normal except for EB-related stuff. I installed it correctly.... so what can be the problem?


Edit: It went into the main game after a good 5-10 minutes, and even then there were graphics problems with flashing icons everywhere in the background.


2nd Edit: I started a campaign regardless of these problems, and before it loaded the campaign map the game crashed and went back to desktop.

What are your computer stats?
EB is a very memory demanding mod.

Are you sure all we have to do is install EB over a clean RTW with 1.5 patch? Has anyone else ever had a similar problem to this? Or any idea on what the problem might be? This mod looks like the best one out and I can't play the damn thing!

Yes, EB just needs a clean version of RTW v1.5 (though v1.6 works too).

This could be a whole lot of things causing the problem. I don't recall every hearing of 'flashing icons' on the main menu before, though.

Check the stickies for some stuff to try, you may have corrupt download/install. If you want, post this on the EB Org forums. Much more people will see it over there, in case someone has seen something similar or I'm forgetting something.

I have this problem. I don't get past the title screen. Ever.
I've uninstalled RTW and any mods (deleted everything RTW, EB, or anything else mod related bar installers from my computer) I then reinstalled re-patched to 1.5 and reinstalled EB. I have 256mb ram. Oh and everything else took like an hour to finish. Any v1 patches i should try.

It is really suggested to have a GIG of RAM for EB.
Most likely you simply aren't giving the initial load screen enough time. I have a fast computer and the first time EB loads up (since the first time you play it, it has to generate some files) it will take me 5-10 minutes.
