    Default "Parthian Noble Cataphracts"

    Hey, great mod.
I've been experiencing some...what I believe are technical issues with the Parthian Noble Cataphracts. It seems that when I bring them into my battles, they often times get stuck somewhere when I tell them to charge. By this I mean...they charge home into the back of a phalanx (a rather weak charge) and break the formation, cause them to rout, and chase them accross the field. However, there seems to be a couple of cataphracts that appear stuck in the area of the battle, and they cant move. This in-turn causes other horsemen of mine to get stuck as well. In one case the entire unit seemed to just disperse all of a sudden in random directions. Plus, I had occasionally had CTDs after I won a victory, or saved a game, and even in the middle of a battle. I also had CTDs in the middle of turn-shifts, but that seems unrelated.

I'm not really sure if this is the Parthian noble cataphracts problem, but you might wana check it out.

Units getting stuck is the 'shadow boxing' bug. It usually happens with cavalry fighting phalanxes, especially when the phalanxes are fighting to the death. This is a RTW thing and was introduced with the 1.5/1.6 patches. It can't be fixed. To dislodge them, try click in various places and they stuck guys will shutter, eventually they will get far enough away from the corpse they are fighting and rejoin your unit.

Mid-battle crashes can be caused by an over-taxed system. How old is your computer? It may be that all of your crashes are caused by lack of memory.
