So, I guess you would say I'm one of those.. lurkers. Been playing since .80 I believe (maybe .72 if that was public, I can't remember), since I just got a new GeForce 7200, and was looking into playing again. My first mod experience with R:TW was RTR. It was quite the impressive difference. Now, I'm not comparing that mod with this one, but when I stumbled on this mod and played it.. um.. I'll summarize it with.. "HOLY $#%* THIS &!)#$^& MOD IS %)*!@$^@ AWESOME!" (My Radeon 9800 Pro burned out, leaving me with a GeForce 3, meaning no DX9, and painfully slow). With that, just thought I'd pitch in a few thoughts..

Lately I've been telling friends this.. if I paid, lets say, 40 bucks for R:TW, I would easily say this mod is worth, at least, 120.

Every release you guys put out is amazing. Lately, playing DoD:S competitively, and a few other games, when they patch.. they just don't really seem all that great. But you guys come out with so much more than I realize.. much to my detriment ofcourse.. because the first faction I played as was KH, and was unable to continue because of patching. No biggie, thought I'd try out the Epirotes. Even though still Greek.. I still enjoyed the slight difference. I got about 100 years into it, and decided I wanted to up unit size from large to huge, and did a Roman game. I got 50 years into that, then 1.0 finally comes out. Now I don't want to play Romans again, I just did that.. but I'm loving those new units in that area. I managed to get my hands on those new skirmisher infantry as Carthage and for whatever reasoning they were handling Rome with ease, but I haven't got a chance to use their cavalry unit.

And geez, what did I do to you guys? lol, those new garrisons can be a pain. The beginning is much slower and threw me for a loop. But I do believe I've caught on. And plagues.. bah ...

Hmm, also, someone on these forums stated that changing back to the old sea for the campaign map wouldn't improve the framerate. Just thought I would say that going back to the old sea took me from stuttering constantly to an occasional jump when executing the script initially. So anyone having problems should check into that.

Seems like I had a few another things on my mind, I guess I can always come back with more.

Can't wait for the next release. Not in that big of a rush for it, but I can say I'm like a 12 year old girl at a backstreet boys concert.. and your the boy band.. well that doesn't sound very glorious.. but I'm sure you get my meaning. Take it easy guys...

All the team have worked very hard on 1.0 and its kind comments such as these that make the hard work worth it(that and getting to play it ourselves of course ) , My favourite new feature of 1.0 are the histories that are displayed at the start of each year.
thanks buddy and keep enjoying it
