Default Saudi visit to the UK.

Before you open this link, put a rubber sheet on the floor and take your trousers off: You're about to piss yourself.

Yes, they really are playing that.

I just wanted an excuse to post that link, but are there any opinions on the visit?

Hahah I wonder if anyone got in trouble for that...that was hilarious. Hell I wonder how long before Saudis realize it and protest.

Darth Abdul Aziz finds your lack of faith...disturbing.

On the serious side: The pundits (particularly Stephen King) are severely over-reacting to the books they're talking about.

Thanks for that, it saved the day.

That was outrageously funny. Whoever came up with that, should not get fired, but an MBE.

I was expecting to see ties flying above the guard.

Lol, awesome, but that whole visit was a total waste, they re-tasked loads of police for that, I thought he had an entourage of 50 limos, doesn't he have any bodyguards in them?

The princes don't oppress just because they want too. Many mistake where real power lies on different issues within the Kingdom. If you asked them to stop, they would not. Not because they don't want to, but because they can't.

Sums it up pretty well, I think.

Sad fact is that the Saudis will buy weapons off somebody, and it might as well be us. The moral high ground may look picturesque, but it's bloody cold and awfully lonely up there.

Amusingly, Peter Tatchell wrote an opinion piece in the Guardian that called for the King to be arrested for human rights abuses. Does the outspoken anti-war, anti-imperialist campaigner realise that this would amount to an act of war?

Meh, so long as we take their oil money so they can't do something worse with it, the hosting of such a vile regime is acceptable. Love the band music though

He's probably well aware, fact is the only reason we're not arresting him is that the Saudi's are rich.

Even if all Saudi Arabia's oil disappeared tomorrow they would still be our single biggest arms customer.

I doubt it. The only other reason we support them is because of terrorism.......because we don't want to loose the oil access.

I don't think pragmatism is a concern when one writes for the Guardian or the Daily Mail.

maybe its an underhand way of showing that we think they're evil and they only came over because they had to...

or maybe the band leader did it for a dare.

    ROFL!

I doubt the King has ever watched TV, probably goes to the saudi colisseum, where they punish people...
